Research on the mechanical properties of SAP concrete block masonry
Abstract
Seawater aggregate concrete block is a new type of load-bearing wall material. To achieve the popularization and application in coastal regions, the compressive property and shear property experiment of seawater aggregate concrete block masonry is conducted. Through the static force load carrying experiment implemented on 27 shear samples and 9 compressive samples built by 3 different mortar strength, the failure characteristics and mechanical properties are studied; this paper also proposes the compressive strength average recommended formula of seawater aggregate concrete block masonry and the shear strength recommended calculation formula of masonry straight joint section. The calculated result accords well with the experimental result.
